Facilities Managment Holiday Service Schedule

  

Service Reduction Plan- Holiday Closure Period

This plan will cover the period from December 19 through January 3

Landscape Services

Mission Bay:

  • Primary services will include litter pick up and exterior garbage/recycling cans clean up
  • Urgent and/or emergency landscape issues will be handled
  • Spills in the plaza courtyard will be cleaned up
  • Childcare services will be maintained as scheduled
  • Routine landscape maintenance will occur as time allows

Parnassus:
  • Contract landscape services will continue with the exception of December 24 & 25 and December 31 & January 1
  • Attempt will be made to power wash entrances to buildings

Custodial Services

All areas:

  • Regular daily services will be provided to public areas, classrooms that are scheduled to be in use and public restrooms
  • Composting containers will be serviced daily
  • Labs will be serviced daily if occupied
  • Routine office cleaning will be suspended for this period
  • Urgent and/or emergency issues will receive immediate response
  • Floor care/special projects team will suspend work
  • Staff may be relocated to other buildings if their primary building is closed or unoccupied

Elevator Services

All areas:
  • Regular contract services will be provided with the exception of December 24 & 25 and December 31 & January 1
  • Emergency/after hours services will continue as contracted

Building Engineering

All Facilities:
  • Regular contract services will be provided with 24/7 coverage at Mission Bay and Parnassus campuses including the Central Utilities Plant
  • Emergency/after hours services will continue as contracted

Trade Shops

All sites:
  • CPFM will have reduced staffing in all trades but a reduced staff from each trade will be on site during normal business hours throughout the holiday period
  • You may experience delays in non-critical requests


Fire and Lock Shops

All sites:
  • CPFM will have reduced staff during business hours
  • After hours emergency response teams will be on-call throughout the holiday closure
  • You may experience delays in non-critical requests


Customer Service Center


All Sites:
  • The CSC will be staffed at reduced levels during the holiday period
  • The phones will be staffed on campus during regular business hours
  • After hours response includes 24/7 phone service and dispatch of personnel
  • An escalation protocol will be submitted to the CSC teams to address critical service responses
